Tech Team Tutorials: Remote Support
Preparing for Remote Support
Sometimes issues are either too simple or too time consuming to send an on-site technician.
That's when we recommend remote support. Remote support is ideal to resolve viral/badware issues,
and to provide routine maintenance.
We need remote access on each Mac or PC you need us to work on. We've prepared this page to
give you step by step instructions to get started. Once done, we can begin helping you remotely.
Remote Support Instructions:
- We like the LogMeIn software for Remote support so be seated at the
the computer you want remote support for
and go here:
https://secure.logmein.com/products/free
- Find and click "Create an Account" and follow those instructions leading to downloading and
installing the LogMeIn application. Email us your LogMeIn account access info.
When that's complete and you're ready for our remote support session,
your computer must be turned on with LogMeIn Enabled and all your other
applications should be closed.
Remote Support Notes:
Your technician will be able to view your monitor as you see it
and operate your computer, mouse, and keyboard
just like having someone sitting at your computer.
For your security, LogMeIn should only be Enabled when you've
requested and expecting remote support.
