Job Description

The Graphic Designer will work collaboratively with a cross-disciplinary team to concept, design, and create compelling social content across multiple platforms to drive positive engagement with the brand. We are looking for a proactive and self-motivated candidate with solid visual design capabilities and a comprehensive understanding of the social space. Applications without a portfolio or samples of work will not be considered.

As we are a growing startup company, this role only offers equity compensation and a part-time commitment (20 hours per week) at this time.

A remote work structure is allowed, although we prefer that our team lives in Greater Los Angeles, and periodic team meetings are mandatory.


  • Work collaboratively with Marketing and Design to concept and design breakthrough social creative that has clear narrative, brand identity and appropriate to the specific social platform (Facebook, Instagram Stories, Instagram Feed, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Help build community and social engagement for the brand through immersive content (animated memes, gifs, stories and more).
  • Maintain brand consistency throughout all our social communications.
  • Touch up, refine, resize and enhance photography and marketing materials for use in scheduled posts.
  • Identify creative ways to promote social impact films as part of content development.
  • Stay up to date on all latest creative social trends and formats.
  • Support the Marketing team with supplemental production-ready assets and materials as needed, including logos, icons, digital ads, e-mails, landing pages, and event graphics, invitations, etc.


  • A strong understanding of social media and social platforms.
  • BFA in Graphic Design, Marketing or related field.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience creating social content and campaigns.
  • Strong portfolio with concrete social and digital design experience (typography, layout, and composition including dynamic and static and retouching principles).
  • Expert with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Familiar with Adobe XD.
  • Strong knowledge of current social/digital advertising best practices and trends.
  • Capable of articulating and presenting creative ideas.
  • Ability to multitask/juggle many projects, teams, and relationships.
  • Flexible schedule, ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple projects.
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, and able to adapt to change.
  • Exceptional attention to detail(s).

Nice to haves

  • Passion for social impact, film, and/or narrative storytelling.
  • Experience in the entertainment industry and familiarity with streaming platforms.
  • Proficient in Adobe Animate, After effects, and/or Premiere.
  • Experience creating photo content for social (comfortable using a camera and lighting).
  • Experience working with startups.
