Position Summary:

The Performance Media Specialist (PPCS) is responsible for the strategic development of Performance media-related special projects and the day to day management of search engine marketing. Depending on experience, they may also engage in performance-driven media buying through DSPs. Special projects may include launching PPC advertising on key platforms such as Google, Facebook, Bing, etc. The ideal person for this position will have prior search engine marketing experience, be AdWords certified, understand standard performance media metrics such as ROAS, CTR, and CPC, and also have the ability to optimize campaigns for acquisition and retention-based KPIs.

We are looking for someone who has proven success in managing campaigns across numerous platforms. As a member of the Performance Media/Digital Marketing team, you will create new campaigns, conduct bid management and optimization, prepare reports and develop landing pages and keyword copy in support of Charlotte’s Web PPC goals. Lastly, the ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable leaning into new projects while wearing many hats and getting creative in a regulated environment like CBD. This person must arrive every day with a can-do attitude ready to work towards revenue goals on a performance-minded team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive new growth across key acquisition channels through campaign creation, analysis and optimization of the full-funnel experience
  • Manage account creation on key PPC/SEM platforms
  • Work with the creative team to develop optimized landing pages for PPC, prospecting and retargeting media
  • QA PPC campaigns for regulatory (FDA) and platform compliance (training provided on FDA requirements)
  • Manage campaign and keyword optimization for driving traffic to Charlotte’s Web web properties
  • Report weekly on campaign effectiveness while making recommendations to improve campaign performance
  • Keyword research
  • Competitive analysis
  • Writing ad copy Position Description
  • Develop communications to guide digital shoppers through category education & brand awareness to consideration and conversion
  • Planning and executing data-driven performance tests
  • Partner with brand, web, creative, social teams and digital partners to create relevancy, connection points and a consistent experience for our consumers across paid media channels
  • Performance media SME: showcase exemplary knowledge of funnel optimization, digital media data and analytics and creative solutions to complex regulations in the CBD industry
  • Implement ad tracking through Google Tag Manager
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • General ecommerce business acumen, with strong abilities in account planning, analytics, and marketing operations are essential
  • Experience managing digital media campaigns (search and shopping required) particularly SEM on Google and Bing
  • Digital skills include paid media, web analytics, Google AdWords certified, Google Tag Manager, tracking pixel implementation
  • Competent in metrics used to drive online performance, including ROAS, costper-acquisition, conversion, per customer transactions, and lifetime value
  • Understanding of digital marketing tools and opportunities, experience building and executing a performance-based media plan
  • PPC experience on Facebook, SnapChat or Pinterest is a plus
  • Video and display experience are nice to have but not required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or Analytics

Certifications and Technical Expertise:

  • Google Ad certification in search required, preferred for shopping, display and video
  • Google Analytics experience
  • Excel proficiency
  • Attention to deploying technical optimizations on shopping feeds, ad copy, etc.
  • Knowledge of managing PPC campaigns inside of native ad platforms
