Our Social Media Strategists must have a pulse on the latest digital trends and tactics, as well as the ability to turn that knowledge into plans that meet our client’s goals and will stand out in the industry. To do this effectively, we need social media strategists with an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong knowledge of social marketing trends, media publishers, best practices and campaign management.
This position is best suited for an experienced communicator with extensive knowledge of established and emerging social platforms and technologies that can guide internal and external teams on the changing social media landscape in order to craft effective strategies and implement campaigns.
This position will report to the Social Media Associate Director within the Insights & Innovation department.


  • Ability to develop and execute social media strategies that achieve client goals
  • Act as an authority on the social media ecosystem for our clients and internal teams by staying on top of best practices, trends, and industry updates
  • Be knowledgeable in social media specs, systems, and privacy issues and provide POVs to clients in response to changes
  • Maintain relationships with social media publishers and technology vendors, and seek to identify relevant partnership opportunities for optimization
  • Use knowledge of how paid, owned, and earned media work together to create cohesive interactions amongst the spaces and provide integrated plans to clients
  • Manage paid platforms including ad targeting, ad creation, campaign optimization and reporting
  • Act as community manager on owned platforms
  • Craft content and distribution strategies for platforms (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, LinkedIn, and more)
  • Proven ability to adapt outreach strategies to build engagement with targeted audiences through various social media channels


  • Bachelor’s degree, plus 5+ years’ experience in marketing strategy or a related field in an agency or corporate setting, including 2+ years of hands-on social media execution for a brand or organization
  • Strong knowledge of social media and digital marketing
  • Knowledge of the interaction of paid, owned, and earned media
  • Experience using social media platform management tools (e.g. Hootsuite, Facebook Business Manager)
  • A strong understanding of key analytics and listening tools (e.g. Unmetric, Netbase, Hootsuite, SalesForce)
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and directly with a client
  • Strategic thinker that can offer creative solutions and ideas
  • Strong presentation, communication, and consensus-building skills
  • Ability to translate and communicate data into actionable items
  • Marketing experience in one or more industry categories: e.g., pharmaceuticals, health care, retail/services, high-tech, financial services.
  • Advanced competencies in Microsoft Office and Internet environments
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
